Hi there, my friends. I know it’s been awhile since I’ve posted. A combination of holidays, and other gigs, has kept me rather busy.
I hope you all had a great holidays, and your 2018 is off to a great start.
All is going gangbusters for me. Life in Bend is just swell.
Holy! It has chilled out here. I’m talking about the actual weather outside. As I’ve mentioned a few times, the high desert is a land of shallow extremes. Cold and dry during the Winter and hot during the Summer. So far, I’m rather liking it. I’ve gotten used to the cold now. It’s been getting down into the teens during the night, and I’ve barely noticed. This, while keeping the inside thermostat set to 70, as usual.
I recently read an article on how the body adapts to it’s environment. When exposed to colder temps, the cellular structure changes in a way that results in more heat retention. Amazing, eh?
So what else is going on? Ah yes, my gigs. As I mentioned here:
I derive a substantial amount of my income from various gigs. Most of them having to do with iPhone mobile app development. Also, flying my drone and photography. I do believe, for many people, gigs are the future. Also, from a financial standpoint, having diversified streams of income is safer than totally relying on a single paycheck.
In any case, gigs are where it’s at for me, and I’m really enjoying working on them.
Ok then. I’m done with my ramble for now. I just wanted to re-energize my blog, and prepare for what I hope to be many forthcoming interesting posts during the next several months.
